Wanda – Stroke; Vision & Mobility
Wanda, a local small business owner, received a life-changing device. Wanda, who suffered a stroke that impacted her vision and mobility, was finding it increasingly difficult to rely on the computer for managing her business. Thanks to IATP’s Illinois Care Connection program, she has a tablet bundle that is making all the difference.
“It’s a blessing from God,” says Wanda, expressing her gratitude for the IATP and its programs.
After Wanda’s stroke, it was difficult for her to sit comfortably at her desk for extended periods. Additionally, her vision was impaired, making it difficult to see her computer screen. These challenges hindered her ability to run her business effectively, which relies heavily on creating and sharing videos to reach customers.
The new tablet offers Wanda the flexibility she needs. Its portability allows her to easily change positions and find comfortable working angles, reducing strain on her body. The tablet’s adjustable screen settings also make it much easier for her to see despite her vision impairment.
“This tablet has truly been a game-changer,” says Wanda. “I can now spend more time focusing on growing my business without the physical discomfort and visual strain I was experiencing before.”
